RIC VII –
This bust type (I1) is not
recorded with this legend (7b). It should come
after RIC 290. The bust on this coin also seems
to be cuirassed rather than draped, or maybe
cuirassed and draped. This is similar to the
consular London busts which frequently confuse
trabea and cuirass, or at least they are often
not very clearly distinctive. Even though the
style is good, it seems that this coin is an
unofficial issue.

This coin is official, but is
mistakenly paired with a Constantine I reverse
(RIC VII Cyzicus 34), so it is a hybrid or mule.
