These two examples of RIC VII Siscia 82 are obverse die matches. Officina
B is unlisted in RIC, in fact, the only officina listed for this series
is A, and it is an r5 (only one example seen). So, this is a fairly
rare series, which means a die match is not a big surprise. The more common
a coin, the less likely it is to find a die match, since many dies were
created. For a rare series like this, fewer dies were made. The obverse
die, because it was securely positioned on the anvil, also lasted longer;
so more obverse matches can be expected.

two coins are an obverse die match. They are also are separate emissions,
separated by two issues-- dot ASIS dot and ASIS star. One is RIC 74 from
officina B, which was struck in A.D. 319. The other, RIC 101, is
also from officina B, and was struck A.D. 319- 20. Officina B is
unrecorded in RIC for 101.
